The month of August began with high temperatures, and a weather pattern that is typical for this time of year - Hot and afternoon thunderstorm activity. No rain is forecast for Dominican territory on Monday, but as is the norm, the odd brief thunderstorm could occur in coastal regions during the afternoon.

For the early hours of Tuesday, a tropical wave moving west from the Lesser Antilles, will cross the Caribbean Sea, bringing some moisture and unstabilized air across the Caribbean,and will increase the likelyhood heavy showers with thunderstorms.

Mondays temperatures will see highs of between 30-34ºC with evening lows of 24-26ºC
