Luperon - The Dominican Navy as seized over one ton of lobsters in a raid in the tourist town of Luperon. Some 20 people were arrestes, various vehicles were impounded and two boats were also seized in the operation that took part in the "Playa Chiquita" part of the town.

A Navy spokesperson has also confirmed that the two boat captains have also been arrested and all involved are undergoing investigation. Among the persons arrested are José Antonio Toribio & Miguel Ángel Severino who have been pointed out as the confiscated lobster’s owners - who regularly supply businesses Puerto Plata, Sosua & Cabarete.
