Dominican Assistant Anti-narcotics Police Chief, Miguel Rodriguez was caught on Wednesday with 400 kilo's of cocaine, head of the Antinarcotics Agency DNCD said last night.
A DNCD spokesman said Rodriguez was part of a network that received shipments from Columbia and distributed the consignments to Puerto Rico and the United States.
The spokesman added that group were arrested 15 miles from the Capital, Santo Domingo - several DNCD units were involved in the operation including a helicopter.
“That intelligence operation lasted several days, in coordination with several international agencies, resulting from the exchange of information which we carried out amid this fight without quarter.”
