DR off to Madrid
The Dominican Republic will participate in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR-2010), in Madrid, Spain from 20-24 of this month. With a promotional stand of 271 square meters displaying the what the DR has to offer, this will be the first of many a fair this year. The Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier Garcia, will head the official delegation from the DR and mentioned that at the fair will be 12,000 international exhibitors from 170 countries, over 136,000 visitors and professionals and over 8,000 journalists.
With the country's participation in FITUR, begins a series of promotional roadshows for the Dominican Republic involving 43 international fairs in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.
