Thursday evening saw the exciting opening of Chinatown in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with President Leonel Fernandez and his wife First Lady Margarita Cedeno watching the inaugural night.  Hundreds of members of the Dominican Chinese community joined in too.  Rose Ng delivered the key note speech of the evening and thanked the Dominican authorities for their collaboration in the making of Chinatown. Dancing by Chinese dragons and lions were amongst the highlights of this spectacular opening.
