Santo Domingo the capital of the Dominican Republic is expecting to receive 70,000 tourists arriving by cruise boat during this seasons cruise calendar. The start of the season commenced with the arrival of the Braemar bringing 1,800 passengers to the shores of our delightful island. Luis Molina who is the executive director of Sans Souci which is the company that manages the port in Santo Domingo expressed pleasure that the Dominican Navy and Port Special Security Corps are all ready and polished for this seasons arrival. The cruise season lasts until April 2008 and Santo Domingo is embracing and ready to welcome all visitors, especially to the cultural sight of the Colonial Zone.
