Also present were both presidents wifes, New York Senator Mrs Hilary Clinton and the Dominican First Lady Senora Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez. Along with hotelier Frank Rainieri and his wife Haydee Kuret de Rainieri.
The Dominican Republic has been a favourite holiday get away for the Clintons for a few years now, and they have been in the country since last Wednesday with their daughter Chelsea and also close friends of the family.
The Clintons know the Fernandez family on a person basis too and have previously visited the country in a social capacity to stay with the Dominican Presidential family. Mr Bill Clinton has also been a guest speaker to the Dominican Republic at the Global Foundation fro Democracy and Development otherwise known as Funglode.
