Despite the bad rainy weather the Dominican Olympic medalists arrived home to a strong and enthusiastic crowd, Felix Diaz who won the gold medal in boxing and Gabriel Mercedes who won the silver Taekwando medal in Beijing spoke humbly of their new titles and medals.  "I said to my brother Felix Diaz that we receive all these triumphs and recognitions with humility, so that we enjoy them next to our families and our friends where we come from, but we should always be humble and simple" Mercedes said.  What true hero's they are indeed.
