Dominican Labour Minister Asks Business Sector To Raise Salaries

Jose Fadul the Dominican Labour today asked companies in the business sector to raise workers salaries, as they are barely managing to survive on their curent incomes.  Jose Fadul said it was time that the private sector realise that the countries situation has changed and that the labour force requires better salary conditions.

The Dominican Labour Minister continued to say that if salaries were highered then workers would feel more energised, have more of their own resources to spend and therefore would demand greater quantities of goods and services.

Of the public sector then Fadul said that it was up to Leonel Fernandez to determine whether or not to raise salaries and the extent of related increments.
