Yesterday in Santiago Justice Minister Radhames Jimenez reaction was of annoyance and anger as he ordered Assistant prosecutor Guillermo Jimenez to investigate the case. Pressure from Mr. Martinez’s son is continuing as he wants answers for his dad’s murder.
The Justice Minister said” I am now instructing prosecutor Guillermo Jimenez to investigate this case and interrogate that gentleman so that he contributes all the evidence he says they have.”
Erick Martinez said his father was a man with a “rich and abundant moral orientation of what a public servant should be” and who “began to apply all the weight the law placed in his hands on all those operating commercial flights or who did not comply with the regulations established by the authorities and the law.”
He continued “Before the request and the term expired to present that information, many commercial operators chose to falsify their data with letterheads and logos of supposed authorized shops at the international level, but my father contacted those shops by telephone and they told him those aircraft were not registered in their maintenance files.”
He said that irregularity prompted his father to start levying penalties stipulated by the law, generating an endless number of memos which terminally prohibited commercial flights by those aircrafts.

It is exactly a year ago since the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute Official Mr. Cristopher Angel Martinez was murdered and his son, Erick, is still continuing to battle and find out who is behind his fathers death.
