Dominican Journalist Awarded Fellowship

For the academic year 2007-08, eight foreign journalists have been awarded John S. Knight Fellowships to study at Stanford. Among them is the first ever journalist from the Dominican Republic.

Ezequiel Lopez Blanco is an investigation and special coverage editor with Clave magazine, based in Santo Domingo. While at Stanford he will pursue independent courses of study and participate in special seminars. Sr. Blanco's principal area of study will be economic power and the free press in Latin America. Financial support is provided by, among others, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Lyle and Corrine Nelson International Journalism Fund and Yahoo! Inc.
