Santo Domingo – Exports from the Dominican Republic hace reportedly made an increase of more than 11.5% during the first half of this year in comparison to the same time last year.In 2009 US$2.2 billion was the amount exported and that has now risen to US$2.5 billion this year.Traditionally the highest exported goods from our shores are sugar and many of its bi-products, cocoa beans, coffee beans and tabacco, but also sent overseas are many vegetables including bananas, mangos and limes. The export of sugar and its bi-products has experienced an increase of almost 61% to a value of almost US$136 million.
