Dominican Downpour kills at least 2 more people

The terrible weekend weather has claimed at least 2 more people in Santiago, as heavy rains continue to saturate the Republic.

Over 1,200 had to be evactuated over the Easter period from their homes and according to the National Meteorology Office the rains are to continue over the next 48 hours.

The destructive weather closed down 14 public swimming pools and also part of the famous historic fortress San Luis has collapsed.  The Emergency Operations Center has issued an alert for various parts of the provinces including Santiago.
