Those patients who have been detected with the disease were hospitalized and a large proportion of patients receiving care in the emergency room and even in the corridors. Last weekend 22 children were admitted to the Childrens Hospital Dr. Robert Reid Cabral, and mothers packed the waiting room with children suffering from fever and headache.
The director the Robert Reid Cabral hospital, Dr. Emilio Mena Castro, reported that so far in July 98 patients have been treated for dengue, but despite the increase of the disease the mortality rate has significantly reduced due to information given by doctors to family members on how to prevent this disease and how to tell for symptoms.




Santo Domingo - Patients with symptoms of dengue fever yesterday overflowed emergency rooms of Luis Eduardo Aybar and Robert Reid Cabral hospitals, which have all reported an increase in the number of adults and children suffering from fever and headache.
