London, England - Casa de Campo, has won the World Travel Award as the Best Golf Resort in the world. This important recognition was presented at the 16th World Travel Award ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in the UK capital.
Amoung the contenders were over 19 resorts from countries such as the US, Dubai, China, Australia and Argentina.
The award was received by a very emotional Claudio Silvestri (President of Premier Resorts) who commented that he was honored to receive the award and that it was not only the acknowledgment of the quality of Casa de Campo, but also that of the Dominican Republic and the quality of vacation is has to offer to the tourist.
This is the second consecutive year Casa de Campo has won this presigious award. Casa de Campo offers such golf courses as Teeth of the Dog, The Links & Country Club all designed by the famous designer Pete Dye.
The World Travel Awards is the most prestigious event to be held since 1993 and acknowledges organisations world over for their contribution to the travel industry.
