model-airplaneJanuary 29, 30 & 31  - Join the Caribbean Fly-In folks for the second year to celebrate the Radio Controlled Aircraft Cup in Santo Domingo.

This year, they are promising an "Extreme action" packed 3 days, featuring the world’s most distinguished radio controlled pilots performing the ultimate stunts with model aircraft of all types  while amazing the audience.

 

Included in the program are -  
- Sport and Scale flight demonstrations.
- Presentation of all participating aircraft.
- Extreme flight demonstrations.
- Interaction with the public.
- Demonstration by local pilots.
- Presentation of International guest pilots from U.S.A., United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Chile and more
- Live (local) band performance.

The "Hobbyland" flying field is located at 20 minutes away from Santo Domingo at the Grupo Alonzo site.

Among the existing facilities on offer are: a fully asphalted runway measuring 300m x 12m, a platform for taxiways and fly-boxes, a helipad facility, 2 covered hangars with over 200 square metres  of open space and a 2-story clubhouse with viewing facilities for those who wish to relax while enjoying the action.
