This Friday sees the opening of the Caribbean Council in Panama with Panamanian Foreign Minister Samuel Lewis heading up the inauguration proceedings for the 13th Council of Ministers. Mr. Lewis highlighted the strategic importance of getting together and creating the regional capacities within the Association of Caribbean States. He went on to stress that “in times of globalization, cultural richness, ethnical plurality, natural biodiversity and creative human resources influence on competitiveness between the Caribbean countries”.
