The next five years should see a significant increase in the number of call centres in the Dominican Republic according to Eddy Martinez, Director of the Center for Export and Investment (CEI-RD).

There are currently 45 call centers operating in the country that employ 18,000 people and generating salaries of over US$150 million.

The demand for this service comes mainly from Indian investors looking to make the most of the country's infrastructure and will provide employment for approximately 100,000 people.
