jaguarFour British companies trading in the Dominican Republic have suggested dozens of  social corporate responsibility initiatives in the country, which they affirm benefit thousands of Dominicans, specifically with education, environmental protection and to secure a sustainable supply of raw materials, technical training for the hotel industry and preventive management.

The companies Unilever, United Brand, Dewar's (Bacardi Dominicana) and San Felipe  in Puerto Plata made the suggestions in a round table as part of the "Meet the UK: Commercial Gathering with the United Kingdom," with the participation of English companies associated and trading in Santa Domingo.

The British Embassy sponsored the activity held in the Hotel El Embajador.

The companies Alvarez and Sanchez, Dominican Bupa, Brugal & Company, BT LATAM, Check Safety First, G4S, Jaguar Dominicana, Pernod Ricard  and The Tall Group also participated in the event  to tout the British industry’s best products and services marketed in the country.
