Santo Domingo / Cap Cana - Brazilian business leaders have just left Cap Cana to what can only be described as an extremely impressive visit to the area.
The "LIDE" gathering of the Brazilian business men during the second week of October is reported to have been a huge success with these business men representing some 580 affiliated companies from Brazil who account for 44% of the countrys GDP.
The tourist resort of Cap Cana hosted the event at the Hotel Sanctuary Golf & Spa where Dominican President Leonel Fernandez held the keynote address to the leaders stressing the DR´s huge potential for foreign investors and travellers alike.

Edison Labao - Brazil´s Energy and Mines Minister
Luis Barreto - Minister of Tourism for Brazil
Reinhold Stephanes - Minister of Agriculture in Brazil
Sergio Rezende - Minister of Science & Technology
Antonio Palocci - Federal Deputy and ex Hacienda Minister
Jeanine Pires - President of Embratur (The Brazilian Tourism Company)
Solange Vieira - President of Brazil´s Federal Aeronautics Agency
Also from the Brazilian press were the TV networks Rede Globo, Rede Record, SBT, Redetev and numerous Brazilian National Newspaper companies.
Relations between the DR and Brazil have gone from strength to strength over the last few years, and this event is said to have enable the DR´s visibility in Brazil to strengthen further .
