Dominican Boxer Felix Diaz (7-0, 5 KOs), who won Gold at the 2008 Olympics will be in action tonight fighting against Colombian veteran Edinson Garcia (17-10, 6 KOs).
The fight will take place at San Pedro de Macoris and promises to be a night of hard hitting action. "Team Diaz" has suggested this will be Felix's final 8 round fight as he wishes to move up to 10 round contests. Boxing at welterweight class, Felix must have his eye on lucrative fights with champions such as Andre Berto or Manny Pacquiao (Pacman).
Also on the bill tonight will be undefeated Dominican Jenifel Vicente (18-0-2, 12 KOs) who will fight against Colombian Jonathan Perez (17-7, 14 KOs) for the vacant WBA Fedelatin title.
Other notable names of interest include Dominicans Juan Carlos Payano, Claudio Marrero and Gilbert Castillo who have all represented the Dominican Republic at Olympic level.
