Aumi Guerra, a little known 10-Pin Bowler from Santo Domingo has won Gold at the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup held in Toulon, France. Aumi had a tough draw throughout the competition beating the 2nd Seed, Fiona Banks from England in the Semi-final and World Number One Gye Min Young from Korea in the final.
Elated with her win over the World No1 player, Aumi said “Min-Young is incredible and I didn’t think it possible to beat her but I have learnt how to concentrate and just look to my next shot, and that helped in that second game. I owe a lot to our coach, Craig Woodhouse – we are a team and I take on board everything he tells me.”
