After all these years...Benjamin Franklin is finally to get a makeover! The US Treasury headed by Tim F. Geithner and Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernake have unveiled a redesigned US$100 bill.

The new bill includes some of the most technologically advanced security features in a bid to flush out the most counterfeited currency in modern times. The new design includes amoung others, a new 3-D security ribbon that has images of 100´s and bells that move over each other as the bill is moved and there is also the image of the Liberty Bell that changes color from a copper color to green when the bill is tilted as well.

It is estimated that some 2/3 of of all US$100 bills are actually outside the US and that there are some 6.5billion of them in circulation!
