Baseball - Dominican Republic to face Puerto Rico this Sunday

dr vs prThe Dominican Republic and Puerto Rican baseball teams will play a fiercely awaited game this Sunday, 12th December in a Interleague All Star game to be held at the famous Isidoro Garcia Stadium in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

The game will determine who the baseball champions of the Caribbean really are; both the Dominican and the Puerto Rican team make up the most players from the Caribbean who play in the Major League in the United States.

 

The talents of Puerto Rican's Jesus Feliciano (New York Mets), Alex Cora (New York Mets), Alex Cintron (Washington Nationals),  Ramon Vazquez (Pittsburgh Pirates) as well as Dominicans Anderson Hernandez (Houston Astros), Jorge Sosa (Florida Marlins), Erick Almonte (New York Yankees), Emilio Bonifacio (Florida Marlins) and Julio Borbon (Texas Rangers) will all be on display for a game that is dedicated to MLB star Carlos Beltran, in honour of his achievements in the sport and his philanthropic work within the Puerto Rican community.
