Barcelo Hotels and Resorts have announced their plans to under go a multi million dollar renovation in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, east coast, at their Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort. The hotel was originally built in 1985 with the massive all inclusive complex comprising of 5 hotels amassing over 2,000 hotel bedrooms on site with suites, including a shared casino, golf course, conference center, 14 buffet style and a la carte restaurants and also a beautiful stretch of pristine water front beach over 2 miles long.Phase 1 of the renovation is to be concentrated on the Premium Brand Barcelo Bavaro Palace Hotel which is scheduled to have all guest rooms, suites and public spaces remodeled. Barcelo are also adding a further 488 new junior suites that are being annexed from what is currently the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Hotel.
Building should be completed later on this year and once finished the newly improved Barcelo Bavaro Palace Hotel will feature 1,046 deluxe guest rooms and junior suites, with nearly all of them offering sea views and balcony’s plus private Jacuzzi. The new guest rooms will also feature large flat screen TV’s, wireless internet connections, king size deluxe beds with comfort bedding, environmentally friendly light systems and large spa style bathrooms with relaxing showers that create different ambiences such as “Rain Dance”. Sounds like a perfect slice of paradise in Punta Cana.
