Another year and another Hurricane season passes us without causing any major damage or making landfall in the Dominican Republic.
This year we have watched some 19 named storms form in the east Atlantic and make it's way westward followed by a sharp turn of direction to either the north or south as it approached Puerto Rico and passed the Dominican Republic without ever leaving a trace of existance
Indeed, 2010 was a busy hurricane season for the Atlantic, some 12 Hurricanes formed of which 5 were Major Hurricanes. The United States also fared well with no hurricane making landfall this year.
Hurricane season officially starts June 1 and finishes November 30.
