London, England - With a promotional stand of 200 square meters, presenting the new tourist attraction of the country, the Dominican Republic will participate in the International Fair World Travel Market 2009 in London, from November 9th to November 12th, 2009.Among these companies, there are National Associations of Hotels and Restaurants, (Asonahores), Amhsa Marina, Caribbean Nexus Tours, Casa de Campo, Club Caribe, Coral Hospitality Group, Domitur, Hola Tours, Majestic Resorts Europe, NH Real Arena Oasis Hotels & Resorts Occidental Hotels & Resorts, Paradisus Palma Real, Punta Cana Resort & Club, VIP Travel Services, VK Hotels Group and Viva Wyndham Resorts.
Fernandez added that a delegation of media managers, editors of specialized sections and journalists will also be present to witness the promotion work made by the Tourism Ministry in order to make the Dominican Republic the primary option to host tourists in the Caribbean.
The Minister of Tourism said that the WTM last year drew 49,963 professionals worldwide, and 5,615 exhibitors representing 187 countries.
The show takes place at ‘ExCel London’, and it is one of the most significant events dedicated to the travel and tourism industry.
