Another Major Drug Bust In Puerto Plata

Last night in Puerto Plata the National Drugs Control Agency siezed over 51 kilos of cocaine which was split into 50 seperate stashes bound for Miami aboard a freighter ship operating under the name of Habib Express. The DNCD also arrested three suspects close to Puerto Plata's wharf included in the three arrests a shipping company's operations supervisor. The drugs were planned to be shipped inside the freighter in one of it's containers.

Rafael Ramirez who is the president of the DNCD identified the three detainees and has disclosed their names which are:- Ramon Castro Estevez, Domingo de Jesus Pereyra and Henry Rodolfo Abreu Uceta.  The first two names already very familiar with the DNCD under previous arrests. Other suspects have been arrested but their names have not yet been released for press.

The fifty packages were disguised in various forms and locations, twenty six packages were wrapped inside canvas and stashed on the front seat of a Mitsubishi pick-up truck that was partked in the Antillean Marine Corporation parking lot, while the remaining twenty four packages were found in the trunk of a Honda Civic car number plate #OCO2817.
