In spite of the controversy surrounding this year's Miss Dominian Republic Beauty Pageant, the contest went on choosing their new queen.

The title of Miss Dominican Republic 2007 goes to Massiel Taveras of Santiago. It is the second year running that a Santiago contestant has taken the title. Handing over her crown was last year's winner Mia Taveras.
