AMResorts to invest US$400 million in Cap Cana
CAP CANA - AMResorts plans to build four luxury hotels in Cap Cana. The operator is part of the Apple Vacations group, owned by the legendary American family Mullen, responsible for bringing more than 50% of tourists to the area. The new resort will offer a combination of 1,100 suites and will generate 6,000 new jobs.At the launch of the project, Alex Zozaya, AMResorts president stressed "the commitment of AMResorts with the Dominican Republic as a destination of unparalleled beauty, wide range of activities and easy access for travelers from the United States, Latin America and several European countries. Cap Cana will give our guests the perfect formula for a luxury holiday."
The masterplan is to build 4 prestigious hotel complexes and a Promenade shopping center which will offer some 14,000 sq feet of commercial and recreational space. In addition to all this there will also be a Convention Center 3,000 square meters, a world-class spa with hydrotherapy area, a casino with an area of 2,000 square feet, gourmet restaurants, bars, boutiques, Explorer's Club for children.
Beyond the luxurious facilities and excellent service of Gems, the hotels will be conveniently close to the tourist and commercial area of Cap Cana, where guests can enjoy fine restaurants, exclusive clubs, boutiques, areas for horseback riding, golf championship golf, and the most modern and complete marina in the Caribbean.
