The major tourist hotspots in the Dominican Republic were once again spared any damage from Tropical Storm Olga. All hotel resorts through out the island are working as normal and no tourists were injured or evacuated during the tremendous storm. Airports in Punta Cana, Samana, Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata are all open and operating as per usual. Excursions are operating in full as there are no major road blockages and the ocean is back to its usual Caribbean calmness. The sun this afternoon (Thursday) even made a welcome appearance with blue skies abounding. Time for a cuba libre!!
