A surprise storm is due to hit the Dominican Republic today, as Subtropical Storm Olga makes its way across from Puerto Rico, to the shores of the Dominican Republic.  A Tropical Storm warning is now in effect for the whole country with emergency services at stand by as the country braces itself for the forthcoming high winds and more dangerous rains.  The Dominican Republic is just recovering after Tropical Storm Noel hit and can ill afford anymore heavy rains/flash flooding and down pours.
