7.00am Leaving thousands of people in the Dominican Republic evacuated with many hundreds of people having lost their homes, the Dominican Republic this morning wakes up to pick up the pieces of her life again after Tropical Storm Olga departs her shores on its way to Cuba. In parts of the country homes were lost due to mud and land slides in the Moca region and 30 provinces are still under red alert through out the nation. With super high winds buffeting the country most of the night people are waking up to survey what damage Tropical Storm Olga has done to their land and property. Heavy rain is still expected today and a Tropical Storm Warning remains in place along the north coast of the Dominican Republic.
