18th Dominican Week Begins in Washington D.C

flag2The traditional raising of the Dominican flag yesterday in the residence of the country’s Ambassador in Washington D.C marked the start of the 18th edition of Dominican Week in the United States, with an exciting  program featuring cultural and artistic activities, businesses gatherings and forums where topics of impact for the Dominican economy will be discussed.

Dominican Week will be staged until September 24th in Washington D.C and New York.

As part of the program a gathering with multilateral financial organizations such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank was held on Monday morning.

For Tuesday morning a Dominican Week delegation will meet with officials of regulatory and trade promotion entities such as the Department of Commerce and the US Export and Import Bank (EXIMBANK).

The meetings are expected to provide the chance to study and discuss policy initiatives and economic-financial projects and ideas for the Dominican Republic, with the inclusion of Dominican industrialists and investment promoters.
