Hi Paul, Hope that you are well......I just recently returned from Punta Cana, Bavaro and managed to check out quite a few of the local places. One bar that seems to be hopping at the moment is the Photo Bar in the Cortecito area of Bavaro. Great local atmosphere and they usually have live music especially at the weekends. Very nice place, great atmosphere. Also you could try Soles in the Los Corales area of Bavaro. Great chill out bar right on the beach, casual & cosmopolitan. Very often DJ's at the weekends and they are known for their full moon parties. Hurricane Cafe just on the edge of Los Corales is a good place to eat, and quite often they have either live music or parties particularly at the weekends. Jellyfish Bar & Restaurant is doing great food at the moment. It's also like Soles a cool place to chill out in the daytime as they really comfy beach furniture on a beautiful part of Bavaro Beach. Again there is a good chance that they have events at the weekends. For a fun night of Karaoke and local flavour where the drinks are very reasonably priced, you can try Dan's Sports Bar which you can find at the main entrance just off the main road heading into Los Corales in Bavaro. Try the Imperial Rum on ice, very nice it is, plus you'll be singing like a canary after a few of those......:-)
