The contributing Regime of the Family Health Insurance or the SFS has just benefited from an additional budget authorized by President Leonel Fernandez as of the 1st September this year.  Fernnandez has announced an additional RD$570 million and a budgetary adjustment of RD$265.7 million, more than was earmarked for this project last June.

Vice President Rafael Alburquerque made the public announcement today and said that people will now only have to pay 2.56% of that they pay to their present insurances, as there will be no double affiliation in the system, and that instead they now have the option to pay the same if they attend their specialists directly.

There will be a campaign commencing today so that citizens will be able to comprehend everything relating to the new SFS system.
