Everyone is in agreement just this once as Dominican Electoral Board President Julio Cesar Castanos has proposed shorter electoral campaigns and that there should be limits put on spending for the campaigns too, the opposition party the PRSC President Federico Antun and the ruling PLD Party General Secretary Reinaldo Pared both agree too!! 

Mr Antun said today “what’s prevailing now is the money and neither the conscience, nor the electoral proposal, and that is not a problem of the PRSC but of the country.” 

Mr Pared replied that shorter electoral campaigns are much needed “because the population is literally overwhelmed by the political campaign issues” . 

The Dominican Electoral Board’s proposal has come just after the PRSC’s primary was held last Sunday in which the winner Amable Aristy has shockingly and surprisingly allegedly used his own money with which to “buy” votes.
