Ups and Downs in Fuel Prices |

While a little bit of relief was forthcoming in this week's fuel price announcements, diesel fuel, the fuel most used in farming and inter-urban transportation, was hit hard with a RD$3.40 per gallon increase. This brings the increases over the last two weeks to RD$5.80. A gallon of diesel fuel will now sell for RD$111.00. Premium saw a small reduction of RD$0.70 bringing it down to RD$160.10 per gallon and regular got a slightly larger break with a decrease of RD$0.90 per gallon bringing it down to RD$149.00 per gallon. Propane also went up this week by RD$0.19 per gallon bringing subsidized to RD$50.57 and non-subsidized to RD$72.33.
