Search Begins for Contaminated Toothpaste |

Customs officials have started searching for toxic toothpaste that entered the Domincan Republic through Panama but originated in China. The Customs Intelligence Department has confirmed that it has seized several boxes of "Mr. Cool" toothpaste that were being sold from a warehouse in Villas Consuelo in Santo Domingo. The contaminated toothpaste is also being sold under the name "Excel". Customs is still trying to track down other consignments of the toothpaste that apparently contains a toxin called diethylene glycol and could be deadly to those who consume it. The product will be incinerated.
