Dominican Aviation Upgraded |
|
|
Unconfirmed reports say that the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has upgraded the Dominican aviation infrastructure to Category 1 meaning the resumption of flights to the U.S. by Dominican registered aircraft. Fifteen years ago the FAA downgraded the country to a Category 3 and prohibited flights of Dominican aircraft to the U.S. mainland, its territories and Puerto Rico. After being upgraded to a Category 2 in March technicians of the Dominican Civil Aeronautics Institute put forth even more effort into obtaining the Category 1 classification. In light of this good news, the State University UASD has added a BA in Civil Navigation to their new curriculum.
