Even though the Texas Rangers were hammered 9-4 by the Cleveland Indians yesterday, Sammy Sosa still managed to slam two homers bringing him to 594 career homeruns and that much closer to the coveted 600 mark.

While chasing one record he managed to achieve another. He now has the record for homeruns hit in the most major league ballparks. Yesterday's two brought him to 44 and broke a tie with Ken Griffey Jr and Fred McGriff. It was also his 69th career homerun multi-homer game.

Sosa himself admits though he's doing well that he's nowhere near playing as well as before he took the 2006 season off, saying he hasn't quite got his timing back but that the more he plays the more adjustments he's making.
