The Dominican Republic is already considering a leading Caribbean golf destination and the addition of two new courses in Punta Cana will only enhance this further.

The White Sands Golf Course is located in the Bavaro Beach area near the Ocean Blue property. It is a par 72 9-hole course designed by Pepe Gancedo, six time Spanish champion and designer of the Barcelo Bavaro course. Nine more holes will be added by summer.

A par 72 18-hole course designed by Nick Price is the second newcomer to the area. The Punta Blanca Golf Club is located near Barcelo Punta Cana Resort (formerly Breezes Punta Cana) on the Arena Gorda Beach. Special golf packages are availabe and the resort provides free transportation to and from the course.
