Juan Luis To Record Songs In More Languages |

Dominican singing superstar Juan Luis Guerra is at last planning to record his songs in Italian, Portuguese and English. He said he has been giving it alot of thought and during a recent press interview announced the release of his latest album. It is called "la llave de mi corazon" which means the key to my heart, and already includes two songs in English with Latin bachata, salsa and merengue rhythms. Juan Luis is the lead singer of the famed Dominican group 4.40, and they are in Miami, Florida to promote their new 13-track album which will be on sale from March 20th. He said that he is confident the public will accept it as one of the most romantic albums that he has recorded in the last 20 years. The album includes the songs titled "Medicine for my soul" and "Something good". The former is the English version of the eponymous "La llave de mi corazon" which is a fusion of merengue, mambo, funk, hip hop, blues and rock. He said that English opens up alot of new doors to other markets and that he wants this type of music to be well known and that salsa and merengue to become as popular in the U>S and Asia as it is in Latin America. Juan Luis Guerrra is to receive a Prize for Excellence and will also perform "La llave de mi corazon" at the forth coming "Lo Nuestro" awards ceremony.
