As we Dominican all know its that wonderful time of year when the humpback whales return to Samana Bay for breeding and calfing and these wonderful creatures can be seen breaching even from the shoreline. To read more about these creatures, click on the link: Dominican Republic Humpback Whales.
Whilst we were unable to produce a video of the whales in Samana Bay, the good people at Encyclomedia let us have this one that shows the "breach" and some wonderful footage of these huge creatures. Make sure you look out for the boat tours that leave Samana Bay on a daily basis to see the whales in their natural glory....ENJOY!
