“Na zdorovje!” The First Direct Flight from Russia arrives in the Dominican Republic! |

Sunday saw the first direct flight from Moscow into Punta Cana International Airport on the east side of the Dominican Republic. A Russian Boeing 747-400 from the Transaero Airline flew a distance of 11,000 kilometers and flying for 12 hours non stop. The massive two story jets can carry a total of 352 passengers with 11 in first class where seats can turn into beds, 56 in business class and 285 in economy. The aircraft will join the Russian fleet of 29 planes. The representative in the Dominican Republic for Trasaero is Ruscan Pirogov who said that flight days from Russia are Thursday and Sunday.
The flight was received in Punta Cana by Ruscan Pirogov and the Dominican Tourism Promotion Office director in Russia, Galina Lyssenko along with journalists. |
