Dominican Manager of American Airlines Will Not Be Charging Flyers $US25 Extra Luggage |

Rafael Sanchez who is the General Manager for American Airlines in the Dominican Republic has said the airline won’t apply the $US25 fee on a second suitcase charge, as other carriers have already announced. Mr Sanchez said American Airlines is not cutting its flights to the Dominican Republic despite the high cost of operations which have resulted in the increase of aircraft fuel. continued ...charging a minimum fee when they are over weight.” American Airlines has operated in the Dominican Republic for thirty four years now. Newspapers over the past couple of days have announced that some United States airlines will apply a charge of $US25 for a second suitcase to each passenger should they carry two. Mr Sanchez concluded by saying “We are not in that, we will maintain our policy of allowing two suitcases as accompanying baggage per passenger, weighing 50 pounds each.” |
