Law & Order - Bigggest Unpaid Electricity Bill in Dominican History E-mail

The Dominican Governments Electricity Company the CDEEE is preparing to sue for the largest outstanding electricity bill in Dominican history!

The culprits of non bill payment are the owners of the exclusive commercial center in Santo Domingo “The Acropolis”.

Exclusive it may be but they still need to pay their electricity! The unpaid amount is in the region of RD$242 million pesos.  The bill is broken down into RD$201.34 million in outstanding electricity and RD$41.10 million pesos for fines and penalties – OUCH!

CDEEE administrator Radhames Segura has finally ordered the legal action after much deliberation and he waited until the last moment before making this “uncomfortable step” as he calls it. The lawsuit according to Mr Segura will be implemented through normal legal channels.
