Immigration for Cedulars & Residencies - 2007/01/19 23:33 WOW
Has anyone else experienced the sheer hell of applying and then going down to the capital for your cedular and residencia?? I am sure there are hundreds of you, this is my first post on your website but I'm still reeling from the shock of the amount of time, money, stress levels and general chaos down there??
Would like someone to join in my moan with me.....arghghghghgh need a cuba libre!!!!!

We are all having a little chuckle here in the office at your email, and I must admit sympathising with you as well. We all have to go through this either once a year or every two years or so...
We psyche ourselves up to it all year round, take a massive chill pill and then just go with the flow. It usually passes after 8 hours and you will begin feeling back to normal quite soon again...
Don't get stressed as everyone is in the same boat and believe it or not some things have improved greatly over the last couple of years at the immigration offices.
OK, we are with you in spirit literally of course so enjoy your cuba libre and relax.

If you are going to spend anytime here, get a decent lawyer to do all the hard prep work for you first, then it should be reasonably smoothe sailing when you make the journey to Santo Domingo to do your ced and res. This will cost you of course going rate these days is around 800-1000 US$dollars.
