Santo Domingo Shopping! - 2007/01/03 19:59

I have been moaning about lack of clothes to buy in Puerto Plata, but have now discovered the delights of Santo Domingo shopping!!! Thanks for everyone replying and recommending places in Puerto Plata, but we grabbed the old metro bus from Puerto Plata and went straight to Santo Domingo in a little over 3 hrs!
Where the bus stops at the metro station you just walk over the road and there is a massive and I mean massive shoppping mall!!!
Clothes, shoe shops, bag shops everything a girl could want and a little bit more. We did tons of Christmas shopping and threw it all back in the metro bus and came home happy shopping teddies. All I am trying to say is don't dispair - it is worth making the journey to the capital to shop till you drop!!
I am a Santo Domingo convert now - just love love love it!!
