We have just come back from visiting the Dominican Republic. We stayed in Fun Royal to or we just called it Royals by the end of our holiday. It was a budget bargain we booked but for the money we couldnt of asked for more. Rooms were clean and iar conditioned, 3 pools, lots of places to eat. Buffet was great some people said it was boring but how many types of eggs do you really need for breakfast - I could count at least 5 different types!
Any road, staff were dead friendly, a little tractor takes you to a lovely beach if you want, disco and open bar late at night too, 2 a la carte restaurants to piclk from as well.
We had a great time and were happy with the value and the staff were friendly, place was clean and always something to do.
I dont know about the weather but we were like a couple of lobsters back at Manchester airport !
I'm sure you'll have a lovely time
